Marisa Companion (American, b 1985 Portsmouth NH) is an artist whose work explores themes of chronic illness, self-love, vulnerability, and our digital relationship with portraiture. She earned an MFA from California Institute of the Arts (2011). Her own personal experiences are a driving force in the pursuit of these subjects. She primarily works with oil paint, photography and video.

The work has been exhibited at MassArt, Boston, Danforth Museum of Art, Framingham, MA, and Art Basel, Miami. Her work has been featured in Art in the Time of Corona and Port Smith Vol 2.
